| Released: Friday 16th February 2007 Used car expert to run Accident Exchange fleet Accident management specialist, Accident Exchange, has appointed former "Car Shop" chief, Adrian Lewis, as Commercial Director. Lewis will be responsible for the acquisition, management and resale of the firm's 4,400 strong fleet of prestige and mainstream vehicles. Accident Exchange purchases the vast majority of its vehicles directly off its dealer partners. The ex-Camden Group regional director was managing director of 'The Car Shop' before going on to run used car supermarket, Millennium, in Nottingham. Although he will be based at the firm's brand new 220,000sq ft head office in Hams Hall, Birmingham, Lewis will have direct control over the fleets operated out of the Warrington and Glasgow depots. Commenting on the appointment, Accident Exchange, Chief Operating Officer, Daksh Gupta said: "Adrian's experience, depth of knowledge and commercial acumen will be a great asset to the business. In managing all aspects of vehicle purchasing, funding, disposals, fleet management, efficiency and utilization it's clearly a big job, but one he will deliver on."
